ECOBARGE IS TAKING AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE DANISH TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE’S APPLICATION TO THE DANISH MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT REGARDING TESTS WITH PYROLYSIS.

The Danish Technology Institute, together with Ecobarge among others, has applied for funds for the project “Circular Economy for Industrial Rubber Waste” through MUDP under the Danish Ministry of Environment.

Ecobarge will be part of an industrial case where Ecobarge, through its advanced test lab for pyrolysis, will be involved in developing and testing recycling techniques for breaking down rubber into versatile chemical building blocks.

The entire project aims to develop technology and establish value chains that enable the recirculation of industrial rubber waste fractions. The project will be implemented by adapting and developing rubber recycling techniques, initiating the development of recyclable rubber products, establishing strong value chains and testing the validity and feasibility of the new recycling pathways through industrial waste.

The project is expected to give Danish industry a competitive advantage, leading to market expansion and growth rates of up to 10%. By recycling rubber goods, the burning of sulphur- and nitrogen-containing materials is also avoided, which results in a reduction of SOx, NOx and VOC emissions, which will be quantified within the project.
