Last week, ECOBARGE participated in the SmartAgri conference “Innovation för framtidens lantbruk” at Science Park Skövde, organized by Agroväst through its innovation hub SmartAgri.
The conference brought together farmers, technology companies, and industry actors to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of agriculture — and how innovation can be taken all the way from concept to implementation on the farm.
ECOBARGE was present with two representatives (Christer Svärd and Pierre Dicksson) and a standing meeting point, which became a natural space for dialogue, exchange of perspectives, and new connections throughout the day.
The program highlighted key industry perspectives from actors such as Lantmännen and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, alongside insights from innovators developing practical solutions already being deployed in the sector. A clear takeaway from the discussions was that the willingness to drive change in agriculture is strong — and that many of the solutions needed are already emerging or in place.
ECOBARGE was also among the companies present on-site contributing to this development, engaging with stakeholders across the value chain and sharing perspectives on how circular, on-farm solutions can support a more resilient and sustainable agricultural system.
For us, the day reinforced the importance of collaboration and proximity to the industry. Real progress happens when technology, practical experience, and local conditions come together — turning ideas into solutions that work in practice.
